Is there any restriction on overseas investors when buying a house in the UK?

No. As long as you are over 18 years old, you can buy a house in the UK regardless of nationality and visa.

Can I buy a house without a UK account?

Yes, you can. Not required if buying property in cash. The purchase funds can be transferred directly from the domestic or other overseas accounts to the lawyer designated by the buyer, who will run all the house purchase procedures. If it is a mortgage loan, you need to open an account in the UK. (China's overseas remittance limit is USD 50,000 per person per year)

Can get I loan without UK residence permit?

Yes, you can. However, you need to consult a specialist lender directly

Can people buy a house if they are not in the UK?

The UK property market is a legally sound market, and all purchase procedures are handled by lawyers on both sides. Except for the deposit (£ 2000-£ 10000), which must be handed directly to the developer, all other funds must be transferred directly from the buyer's bank to the designated lawyer's account for the house. When the buyer and seller determine the exchange contract, Account transferred from the buyer's lawyer to the seller's attorney. How do you know if a letting agent is legitimate?

Letting agents in the UK ideally need to be ARLA registered, this ensures the tenant’s rental funds are protected and the letting agent is up to date on legal matters. It also means the agents have to keep their skills and experience up to date through regular training.

What is the best way to find a property to rent?

There are many online platforms that can help you find a home to rent. The UK's largest rental search portal is called Rightmove, alternatively looking on companies websites and social media pages is a great way to find a home.

How long can I rent a property?

Tenancy agreements tend to vary from 6 months to 36 months, but this is all dependent on your personal circumstances and the agreement made between you and the landlord. 

What is a break clause and can I have one?

The break clause allows both parties to terminate the tenancy agreement prior to the official tenancy end date subject to a relevant notice is served. Tenants are able to ask for one however, this may reduce the possibility of your offer being accepted.
